Description: This scholarship is given in memory of Samuel Marchio ‘81 who was a graduate of MVCC in Civil Engineering Technology. Sam was active with the Laborers Local Union #35 and in the field for 25 years.
Amount Awarded: $500 to be used for tuition, fees or books
Criteria Checklist: • Must have graduated from high school no more than 12 months prior to enrolling at MVCC
- Must be full-time
- Enrolled in Civil Engineering, Carpentry & Masonry, or Building Management and Maintenance
- Must have a GPA of 75 or 2.0 or better
- Preferential consideration will be given to those who have held jobs and/or performed community service while completing high school
- Must be from Hamilton, Herkimer, Madison or Oneida Counties
- Must have a 250-word essay explain your career goals, work experience and community service
