Michael J. Burke Memorial
Description: Given in memory of Michael J. Burke, former Department Chair and faculty member in the Business and Information Sciences Dept.
Stephen C. Casakos
Description: Awarded to a full-time business management, business administration or financial services major.
Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU)
Description: Sponsored by the Utica Chapter of the Society of CPCU, a not-for-profit association that promotes continuing education, research, high ethical standards in insurance and risk management and a commitment to community service.
Maryann Riggalls Coyne Memorial for Women in Business
Description: Award will be given to a female student majoring in a business/ management systems curriculum (excluding information sciences).
D’Arcangelo & Co. Accounting
Description: Given annually to a second year student with a minimum of 3.5 GPA in a Business and Information Sciences program with preference to Accounting majors.
Friedberg-Grossman
Description: This scholarship honors the achievements of Professor Friedberg and Professor Emeritus Grossman who were long standing members of the Mohawk Valley World Trade Council. They helped to arrange seminars with MVCC dealing with the basics of how to export and import and the details associated with international payments. This scholarship is open to International Studies and Business students and awarded to a student who has a strong interest in international business with a focus on working for a business who is involved in the area of international trade.
James J. Nackley Memorial
Description: Mr. James J. Nackley was a prominent insurance and business man in the Utica area. For more than 40 years he owned and operated Nackley Agency, Inc. This memorial scholarship is the legacy that will continue to assist students interested in the insurance field.
Pauline A. Ryan Memorial
Description: Scholarship is given annually in honor of Mrs. Ryan, who formerly headed the Business Department at MVCC.
Charles E. Schmidt Memorial
Description: In memory of former MVCC Business Management Department Professor Charles E. Schmidt, is made annually by the Utica Kiwanis Club.
Utica National Insurance Group
Description: Utica National Insurance is a strong presence in the community thanks to one of their leaders, Jack B. Riffle, who served as president from 1974 until his death in 1986. Mr. Riffle became a widely respected as a perceptive thinker and articulate communicator, with both the spoken and written word. Mr. Riffle’s sudden death brought a remarkable career to a premature close, and it is in his memory this scholarship is dedicated.

Thomas A. Blanchfield Scholarship
Description: Tom Blanchfield, retired Professor and Department Head of Criminal Justice, can be defined as an icon in the MVCC family. His dedication and devotion to the college has had a lasting positive effect on our students, faculty, staff and community members. Tom is deeply missed, but greatly appreciated at MVCC.

Description: Given annually to a Criminal Justice program student.
Stanley J. Kolasz Memorial Scholarship
Description: This scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding full-time student entering their second year of study in the Criminal Justice curriculum who displays a sincere desire to enter the field of law enforcement.
This scholarship is in memory of Undersheriff Stanley J. Kolasz who served as a member of the Oneida County Sheriff's Department for over 20 years, performing the duties of his office with the highest degree of professionalism and served as an inspiration to all who believed in principles of justice and the integrity of our law enforcement officials.
Cecil A. Nellenback Memorial in Criminal Justice
Description: This scholarship will be awarded to a current student who best exemplifies the ideals and qualities of Cecil A. Nellenback whose untimely and tragic death is mourned by family and friends.
Maynard Roman Memorial
Description: Maynard T. Roman was born and raised in New York Mills. He taught classes in criminal law enforcement here at MVCC and was the golf coach at New York Mills and Notre Dame High Schools. Maynard was truly dedicated to helping others. One award to a graduate of Notre Dame High school and one award to a graduate New York Mills High School, Graphic design majors will be considered second for the scholarship after criminal justice major.

Description: The New York Propane Gas Association (NYPGA) sponsors this award to a 2nd year studnt in the Fire Protection Technology program.

Description: The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize individuals who have demonstrated, through academic achievement and through leadership in the furtherance of hospitality education and the learning environment, dedication in the pursuit of their professional and personal growth in the hospitality industry.
Carmen G. Caruso Memorial Scholarship
Description: The family of Carmen G. Caruso established this scholarship to assist students in the Culinary Arts Program at MVCC. The scholarship includes an option of a 2-week summer internship at Cafe' Caruso located in Utica, New York.
