ROME CAMPUS

MVCC's Rome Campus is located at 1101 Floyd Avenue in Rome, NY, and consists of the John D. Plumley Science and Technology Complex and the Rome Academic Building.  MVCC also operates the Aviation Training Center at Griffiss Business and Technology Park and is a partner with SUNY Canton in the Dental Hygiene Training Clinic at the Griffiss Veterans Administration Facility. 

The Rome Campus offers a wide range of services and many of MVCC's associate degree programs can be completed in their entirety in Rome; other programs have the majority of their courses offered in Rome with the potential for some coursework at MVCC's Utica Campus.
Programs that may be completed ONLY on the Rome campus are:

• Airframe & Powerplant Technician                  
• Educational Sign Language Interpretation
• Hospitality Programs
• Surgical Technician Certificate

UTICA CAMPUS

MVCC’s Utica Campus is located at 1101 Sherman Drive and consists of Payne Hall, Academic Building, Science & Technology Building, Alumni College Center, Information & Technology Building, Jorgensen Center and Residence Halls. The Utica Campus offers a wide range of services and many other Programs that may be completed ONLY on the Utica campus are:

• Art Programs
• Tech & Trades (Carpentry & Masonry on both campuses)
• Engineering Programs
• Sports & Recreation Programs
• English as a Second Language (ESL)
• Education Programs (Ed. Sign Language Int. Rome only)
• Respiratory Care
• Medical Assisting

ONLINE

Students can take a course or two online or complete a degree online!

Programs that may be completed entirely online:
• School Facilities Management
• Business Management

Transportation:

Public transportation is available to either campus and throughout the cities through Centro New York Transit Authority. For locations and schedules visit Centro’s website at www.centro.org/oneida.aspx

Birnie Bus provides free, direct shuttle service to MVCC students with ID, between the Rome and Utica campuses on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when traffic between the two is greatest. Transit time is estimated at 30minutes one way. 

MVCC has set up an online Carpool Board for people who wish to communicate with each other to set up carpools. The “Carpool Board” is live at www.mvcc.edu/transportation.
