Lorie Phillips holds a M.S. degree in Health Education from SUNY College at Cortland, a B.S. degree in Health Services Management from SUNY Institute of Technology, and an AAS degree in Respiratory Therapy from Upstate Medical University. She has more than 35 years of professional practice/teaching experience.
She teaches Principles of Respiratory Care 1 and 2 lectures and labs and Clinical Practicum 1, 2, 3 and 4. Mrs Phillips has been a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) since 1972. She received the MVCC Excellence in Teaching Award in 1995, the Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence in 1996, and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Faculty Service in 2011. Lorie was recognized by Who's Who Among America's Teachers in 2005.

Nursing Faculty do not have office hours over the winter break or during the summer.
