Jun 26, 2012 - When it comes to helping Veterans get the training they need to rejoin the workforce, Mohawk Valley Community College is working closely with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Department of Labor to provide training under the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) which is part of the government’s VOW to Hire Heroes Act 2011.

Jun 7, 2012 - Leaders of the City of Rome, the Rome Community Foundation, Rome City School District, Mohawk Valley Community College and more will come together on Monday, June 11 to announce the launch of the new Rome Futures Academy summer program. The Rome Futures Academy is a new initiative to help incoming 9th-graders prepare for success in Rome schools on their way to college readiness. The announcement will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the atrium of the MVCC Rome Campus’ Plumley Complex, 1101 Floyd Ave. The public is welcome to attend.
