Central New York native Robert Channing, world famous speed-painter and mind-artist, will make his first large-scale hometown appearance since his run on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Stanley Center for the Arts, 259 Genesee St., Utica.
The New Hartford resident’s jaw-dropping audition on the show earned him a two-and-a-half-minute standing ovation by the celebrity judges and 5,000 audience members. Performing his renowned speed and glitter painting show “Imagination Into Art” for more than 14 million TV viewers, Channing whirled his brushes onto a black canvas, painting with clear glue what appeared to be nothing at all. Then, at the end of his audition, he splashed two cans of glitter onto the canvas, and the face of “America’s Got Talent” judge Howard Stern appeared, wowing Stern and the other judges. Channing will blow your mind and inspire your heart all while reading your mind and painting your thoughts!
