Mohawk Valley Community College will host its Spring Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, April 7, on the Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive.

Open House is designed to give prospective students the opportunity to learn about the many academic opportunities available at MVCC and to provide information students need to begin their path to academic and career success.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for local students of any age to see what MVCC has to offer in terms of academic programs, dedicated support services, athletics, and a vibrant campus life,” said Dan Ianno, director of Admissions at MVCC. “It’s a great chance to tour the campus and residence halls, ask questions, and meet the instructors, coaches, staff, and students who make MVCC such a great place to be.”

The program will begin at 1 p.m. in Schafer Theater in the Information Technology Building with an introduction to the College and Admissions Office, followed by a financial aid presentation on How to Pay for College. There also will be a session on Residence Life for those students interested in living on campus. The event then will feature a showcase of MVCC’s diverse array of academic programs and student services in the Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center Fieldhouse, where faculty, staff, and current students will be on-hand to talk with prospective students and their families and answer questions. Campus tours will be offered throughout the day.

Check-in will begin at 12:15 p.m. in the lobby outside the Theater. Refreshments will be available. Registration is recommended, but not required to attend. To register for MVCC’s Spring Open House, visit www.mvcc.edu/openhouse.
