MVCC extends hours through Jan. 24

Mohawk Valley Community College’s Spring 2013 semester will begin Jan. 22 with options for new and continuing students. To help students and families prepare, MVCC is extending hours of operation to 7 p.m. for the offices that help students apply, register, arrange financial aid and payment, and complete other steps necessary to start the semester.

Jan. 7 through Jan. 24, MVCC’s Student Service Centers in Utica and Rome will be open each Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. (with the exception of Jan. 21); on Fridays, the centers will be open from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Available offices will include Admissions, Advisement, Placement Testing, Financial Aid, Records and Registration, and Bursar. ID cards and other student services will be available during extended hours. Other college services and staff will be available from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. daily.

Applications and registrations for spring classes will be taken until the start of the semester. Students who have already registered need to confirm payment arrangements by Jan. 11 to secure their schedules.
