Mohawk Valley Community College will host the traveling exhibit “Pieces of HeART” beginning Wednesday, June 26, in the Small Works Gallery in the Information Technology Building on the Utica Campus.
The exhibit will feature the artwork of individuals who participate in Upstate Cerebral Palsy’s Pieces of HeART program, which provides opportunities for creative expression while raising public awareness of the talents and creativity of those with special needs. The artists work in watercolor, acrylics, mixed media, and recycled materials, as well as sculpture, pottery, and textiles.
“Pieces of HeART” will be on display in MVCC’s Small Works Gallery through Friday, July 26. The community is invited to a reception at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, in the lobby outside of the gallery. Refreshments will be served.
