MVCC, Griffiss Park partners to unveil newly painted plane

On Thursday, March 28, MVCC unveiled its newly painted Boeing 727 in the Premier Aviation Overhaul Center Ltd. hangar in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park.

The new paint job showcases MVCC’s logo and highlights its FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance certificate program. The endeavor was a partnership between Premier Aviation Overhaul Center Ltd., MidAir/USA, Aviation Recruitment Services, and MVCC.

Premier Aviation Overhaul Center Ltd. provided some of the paint and used the process as a training exercise for members of its paint crew. MidAir supplied the graphic stencils for the completion of the logo. The plane itself was donated in 2006 by FedEx.

After the unveiling the plane was moved back to the MVCC Aviation Training Center for use by Airframe and Powerplant students.
