MVCC Assistant Professor Receives Award from Human Anatomy and Physiology Society

Aaron Fried, an assistant professor in the Center for Life and Health Sciences at Mohawk Valley Community College, has received the Sam Drogo Technology in the Classroom Award from the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS) and ADInstruments.

Fried received his bachelor of science degree from SUNY Brockport and two master of science degrees from Syracuse University, one in Science Teaching, and the other in Instructional Design. He teaches Biology and Anatomy & Physiology at MVCC.

The award was created in memory of Sam Drogo, a longtime professor at MVCC and HAPS member, and is presented annually to a member of HAPS who demonstrates the innovative use of technology to engage undergraduates in Human Anatomy and Physiology. Recipients of the award must be a member in good standing of the Society and be actively engaged in teaching anatomy and physiology at the undergraduate level.
