Artist Brian Cirmo’s solo exhibit ‘American Berserk' on view in MVCC’s Juergensen Gallery

The Juergensen Gallery at Mohawk Valley Community College recently hosted an opening reception for the exhibit “American Berserk” by Albany artist Brian Cirmo.
The Juergensen Gallery is on the second floor of the Information Technology Building on the Utica Campus. The lecture will take place in room 225 of the IT Building, across the hall from the gallery. The exhibit will be on view through May 16. Gallery hours are 1-6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.
Cirmo earned his MFA in painting and drawing from the State University of New York at Albany, where he studied with renowned painter and curator Mark Greenwold. While completing his graduate study, Cirmo was awarded a graduate teacher assistantship and the Distinguished Master of Fine Arts Award. Cirmo has lectured and exhibited his work nationally in numerous galleries and museums throughout New York State and the U.S. His drawings are included in the online-curated registry at The Drawing Center Gallery in New York City. He was awarded the Times Union Juror Award by Matthew Higgs, director of White Columns Gallery in New York, and the University at Albany Purchase Award at the 2009 Artists of the Mohawk Hudson Region Exhibition. Cirmo lives and works in Albany and is an adjunct professor of art at The College of Saint Rose and Sage College of Albany.
