Help

This Quick Guide to Web-Based Learning at MVCC is meant to serve as a general introduction to MV Online powered by Blackboard. Of course, many other features are available to you  within each class website, as each are unique to the instructor and the course content. To learn more about what's available to you in each class website, such as the Digital Drop Box, the online Gradebook, and the class Roster and your individual Student Homepages, please use the extensive Help files in Blackboard. Explore these features in the Resources section (at the bottom of the navigation menu).

In addition to the Blackboard help files, you have several other resources:

MV Online Home Page (http://www.mvcc.edu/mvonline)

Find a list of Frequently Asked Questions, including information on hardware and software requirements.

Complete the Voyager program for details and examples on everything in this guide, including a self-quiz to see if MV Online courses are right for you and a practice Blackboard course so you can test your navigation skills.

Access an online withdrawal form if you wish to drop an MV Online course.

Your Instructor

Ask questions pertaining to the academic content of the course.

MVCC instructors have class email accounts for your use. For example, if your instructor's name is Pat Jones, the email address would be pjones@student.mvcc.edu. You also may look up your instructor's phone number on the MVCC website (http://www.mvcc.edu) in the Student Resources section.
