Your password is assigned to you and is available via the link labeled "Login Request Form" one week prior to the start of classes. (Winter session course login information is available one business day prior to the start of classes.)
Yes. There is a $10.00 per credit hour charge for each online course.
Point your browser to studentmail.mvcc.edu. Your username is the first initial of your first name followed by your last name and day of birth (i.e. John Doe who was born on January 5 would be "jdoe05") Your password is generally the last four digits of your SSN.
To be successful in online learning, there are technical requirements to meet and personal attributes to possess.
You can access technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by going to this website or calling toll free 1.866.361.8865. Whenever you are having difficulty in your course, it´s always a good idea to let your instructor know.
To drop an online course only please fill out the online drop form. The form can be used to drop one course at a time. If you are dropping more than one course you will need to fill out the drop form for each course.
Once you know exactly what textbook or other resource you need for your online course¡Xeither from the course itself, which should be open a week before it starts, or by contacting the instructor¡Xyou may purchase this material through the MVCC bookstore or through any online bookseller. Just make sure you get exactly the material the instructor specifies (correct edition, for example).
If this course is in your course list when you enter Blackboard, it probably means that it¡¦s your first online course at MVCC. You should definitely spend the 30 minutes it takes to get through that course, as it will take you through the fundamental elements of the use of Blackboard. Some instructors will actually require their students to complete this short orientation course, so be aware of that. You can find this course by typing BB101 in the course search field in Blackboard and then clicking the Enroll button.
