Study Abroad Opportunties

What study abroad opportunities does MVCC offer?

MVCC offers a variety of overseas opportunities. Some are short-term, faculty-led courses and others are long-term.

NEW! MVCC is offering at least ten $500 Auxiliary Services  Corporation Scholarships for Study Abroad to help students study abroad while they are completing their MVCC degree. Students must be currently matriculated, have a 2.0 g.p.a. and complete the application that requires an essay, a letter of recommendation from a faculty member, and an unofficial transcript. The deadline is December 3, 2013. Hard copies of the application form are available in Auxiliary Services (ACC206), International Education (ACC224), Student Services (ACC208), The MVCC Foundation (PH220), and the Rome Campus (PCA30) or by email to CAAHabroad@mvcc.edu or studyabroad@mvcc.edu  .

Short Term, MVCC Faculty-Led

NEW! MVCC is offering a 3-credit faculty-led Humanities course starting in January 2013 that will conclude with an 8-10 day visit to Paris and Amsterdam. The course will include Hemingway's Moveable Feast, Van Gogh's Letters, and Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris. Student activities will complete brief essays, blogs from Paris and Amsterdam, and a group collaborative video project. Financial aid may apply to help with the cost of the international travel. Please consult the Financial Aid office for that issue, and for information about the course as a whole, please contact CAAHabroad@mvcc.edu for details.
