What to leave at home

  • Pets (other than non-carnivorous fish requiring no filter, heater or lights)
  • Standard household extension cords (Zip Cords) and plug adapters
  • Personal Microwave ovens
  • Heat producing cooking appliances, such as coffee pots. There is no cooking in the Residence Hall rooms or public areas
  • Candles, incense, Plug–in fresheners
  • Halogen and lava lamps, electric blankets, space heaters, holiday lights, heating pads, air conditioners
  • Alcohol and alcohol containers
  • Excessive noise devices; amplifiers, excessive speakers
  • Hair Styling Irons or clothes irons WITHOUT AUTO-SHUT OFF
