Steps to becoming a resident
Thank you for your interest in applying. We look forward to you being a resident. We recommend you begin the application process as soon as possible.
New to MVCC Students:
Step 1: Apply to MVCC
Step 2: After being accepted to MVCC, an acceptance letter will be sent to you. Included with your acceptance letter is an "Admissions Reservation Form." Please sign and return this form as soon as possible to confirm your intent to enroll.
***Note: IF you DO NOT meet the academic requirements to reside in the Residence Halls, you will be notified by the Associate Dean of Student & Residence Life.
Step 3: Beginning in early March (for Fall semester) or late October (for Spring semester), a Housing Application Packet will be sent to you on a first come, first served basis based on the date the College received your Admissions Reservation Form.
Step 4: Complete the application and return it, along with the required deposit to the Residence Life Office as soon as possible.
Step 5: A confirmation e-mail will be sent to your MVCC Student E-Mail. Be sure to check it regularly.
Step 6: Proceed with Placement Testing and Class Scheduling. If you are beginning your studies in a Fall semester, we highly encourage you to participate in a ResHall SOAR (Student Orientation, Advisement and Registration) program to be held in the mid summer. Be sure to watch your mail for your invitation to the great program.
Current MVCC non-resident students:
Current non-resident MVCC students interested in housing should contact the Residence Life Office in the Alumni College Center Room 208 for housing information. We recommend you contact us by October 15 for Spring housing or March 1 for Fall housing.
