MVCC FoundationMission

The Mohawk Valley Community College Foundation was established in 1966 to secure private sector support to supplement and enhance public funding at Mohawk Valley Community College.  The Foundation is a 501 c(3), nonprofit corporation that solicits, accepts, manages, invests and distributes contributions and communicates with donors and prospects regularly.  It serves as a repository for all private, non-governmental gifts and support received on behalf of the college.

Donations to MVCC Foundation invests in four critical initiatives designed to move our community forward:

Creating Student Opportunity

We create opportunity by growing scholarships that make college affordable for more students and their families. Over the past 5 years, MVCC Foundation has given out more than $1.5 million in scholarships, helping nearly 2,500 students, who otherwise might not be able to afford a college education.

Revitalizing Our Economy

We revitalize our economy by helping the region become more economically competitive, expanding our capacity to train the workforce of tomorrow. Through our programs at MVCC’s thINCubator, we believe that entrepreneurs are key to remaking, reshaping, and regrowing the upstate economy - helping the Mohawk Valley overcome economic challenges.

Educational Excellence

The Educational Excellence Fund keeps MVCC ahead of the curve and enhances our agility and responsiveness to changing community needs. MVCC’s Airframe and Powerplant Technology Program is a great example. The program strives to be a leading institution for aviation maintenance technology education by focusing on the needs of the student, community, and employer.

Breaking Barriers

We break barriers by extending education's reach to increasingly diverse, challenged populations. Since its inception, the Foundation’s Emergency Relief Fund has helped 407 students continue their education with nearly $300,000 in loans, providing opportunities for college success to people who never thought they'd have the chance.

Visit Ways to GiveHelp us continue to make a difference in the lives of our students and the vitality of our community by making a donation to one of these life changing initiatives.
