New Student Commuter Orientation for Fall 2012

Utica Campus - Friday, July 20th 12-3pm
Utica Campus – Adult Students (25 yrs & older) - Wednesday, August 15th 5:30-8:00pm
Rome Campus - Friday, August 17th 12-3pm

New Student Orientation

All students attending Orientation will have the opportunity to meet faculty, administrators, current students and other incoming students.  Orientation will also provide new students and their families with the chance to become acquainted with all that MVCC has to offer; numerous campus resources, cultural events, and academic opportunities.

The orientation programing has something for all in attendance including freshmen, returning adults, transfer students, families and more. Students are allowed to bring two (2) guests with them to Orientation. Registration will begin in the Information Technology Building lobby (Utica), or the Plumley Complex Atrium (Rome) ½ hour prior to the start of Orientation. Please dress comfortably and bring your ID. There will be giveaways, raffles and food.

Your first day of College begins with Orientation! We look forward to meeting you!

Orientation for New Students Living On-Campus

Students who have confirmed rooms in the Residence Halls will be invited to attend one of several Student Testing and Registration (STAR) programs held during July or early August to complete placement testing and registration. For housing information, please visit HERE.

New Student Commuter Orientation

All new commuter students are encouraged to attend orientation on-campus this spring.  Incoming students that will be living in a residence hall will be invited to orientation hosted specifically by the Office of Residential Life.

New students who attend will have the opportunity to meet faculty in their departments, meet administrators, current students and other incoming students.  On-campus orientation will also provide new students and their families with the chance to become acquainted with all that MVCC has to offer; with numerous campus resources, cultural events, and academic opportunities.  Students who are unable to attend on-campus orientation will be able to participate in online orientation.

Incoming commuter students and their families have the choice of attending on-campus orientation on one of the following dates.  Orientation dates will fill quickly, so please reserve your spot today!
