Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Student Financial Aid, you must meet all of the items listed below:
1. You must have a high school diploma or GED.
2. You must be (matriculated) accepted into a degree or certificate program.
3. You must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.
4. You must annually complete required forms as requested.
5. You cannot be in default of a student loan.
6. In compliance with the standards of academic progress.
Please note: In order to retain your eligibilty to receive both federal and state grants and loans, students must maintain both good academic standing and progress toward their degree or certificate. Failure to do so may result in the loss of federal and/or state financial aid. The student must not owe any refunds on Pell Grants, or other awards made, or be in default on repayment of any student loan. MVCC limits financial aid eligibilty to two degree and/or certificate programs. Before receiving any financial aid funds in the form of a check, the student must verify attencance in class.
