Employee Involvement System

Welcome to the Employee Involvement System website. The information presented here is intended to provide faculty and staff with a sense of the ”system“ in place related to decision making at the College. The American Heritage dictionary defines a system as, ”A group of interacting, interrelated, or interdependent elements forming a complex whole.“ With a functional system for involving employees in the overall decision making processes at the College, we’ll all be more informed and be more able to place decisions, activities, and events in a larger context with greater understanding…and hopefully, we’ll find ourselves making better decisions collectively.

Hopefully, the information presented here will serve as a single resource for employees to review documentation for key groups that directly influence decision making at the College. You will find the charter (statement of purpose and responsibilities) for the Strategic Planning Committee, College Senate, and the President’s Think Tank. In addition, any special charter groups – like system design teams – will also be able to post their recommendations and special reports here for people to access easily via the web. As you review the materials here, I hope you find inspiration to get involved and contribute to creating the future at Mohawk Valley Community College.
