ACC 116 WHAT’S IN YOUR TOOLBOX: Effective ways to identify, manage, and de-escalate difficult and unexpected on-campus situations.
Presenters: F.J. Lawrence, B.S. Criminal Justice, Chief of University Police and Director of Emergency Management, SUNY Delhi; retired NYSP Investigator; 41 years in law enforcement; 16 in higher Ed. Lyn Ontl, MS, LMHC, nationally certified counselor, Co-Director SUNY Delhi Wellness Center for 5 years; 18 years in higher Ed.
Mary Radliff, MS, ANP, nationally certified Nurse Practitioner, Co-Director SUNY Delhi Wellness Center, which is a nationally accredited center; Director of Health Services at Delhi for 5 years; 24 years in higher Ed.
Every day, on campuses across America, faculty, student services staff, and other front-line providers are confronted with what can only be described as the difficult and the unexpected. Often times, if not addressed quickly and effectively, these situations can get out of control. This MVCC Fourth Friday training will provide you with both the information and skills to help identify, manage, and de-escalate a variety of situations, enhancing your ability to foster greater student success and completion!
