These courses are appropriate for individuals with experience or education in the field of Information Technology.

 


 

CompTIA Network Plus

This class prepares students for the CompTIA Network certification exam. The curriculum includes the skills and knowledge required to install, configure, and troubleshoot a computer network. Fundamentals such as protocols, topologies, hardware, and network operating systems are explained in depth. This course is taught in an eight week boot camp style format in the MVCC Cybersecurity Training Lab in Rome. Classes meet twice perweek for lecture and lab  Those students achieving an 85 % or better in the class are eligible to take the CompTIA Network certification exam free of charge!

CompTIA Security Plus

This class prepares students for the CompTIA Security certification exam. The curriculum is a broad overview of most cybersecurity topics and prepares the student to identify risk and participate in risk mitigation activities, provide infrastructure,  application, operational and information security, and apply security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This course is offered as a seven week hybrid course utilizing both online and in-person instruction. Students should expect to devote at least ten to twelve hours per week to the class. Those students who achieve an 85 % or better in the course are eligible to take the CompTIA Security certification exam free of charge!

The CyberJobs staff will contact you to conduct a brief skill assessment and register you for the class that suits your skills and career objectives.

 

Program Restrictions:

Due to the nature of the funding provided to the CyberJobs Program, individuals must be either UNEMPLOYED or must employed or have been employed in one of the following 4 sectors: Finance, Health Care, Energy, and/or Manufacturing.
