College Calendar Workgroup
Purpose: The purpose of the College Calendar Workgroup is to research and recommend a college calendar to be implemented in 2013-14.

- Review academic calendar structures at other institutions.
- Evaluate gifts and gaps of existing calendar and define the variables and parameters for consideration.
- Develop 3-5 draft calendars for consideration by college community.
- Seek feedback on draft calendars from the college community, including College Senate & Student Congress.
- Present pros and cons of top two calendar choices with recommendation of preferred calendar to begin 2013-14.

- Make policy
- Compromise institutional enrollment reporting requirements and state standards
GUIDING POINTS
- Consider wide range of student needs (i.e., learning, work, family, etc.)
- Get creative when developing draft calendars to spark discussion.
- Work toward a model that allows for a multi-year calendar commitment.
- Account for ajar period variables between fall and spring semesters.
- Consider the impact of the College calendar on student success.
