Hiring Systems Advisory Council
Purpose: The purpose of the Hiring Systems Advisory Council is to serve as the primary advocacy group for fair practices and procedures at the College to further facilitate the development of a diverse and inclusive work environment.

DOES
- Review search procedures and examine data related to every personnel search.
- Reviews and recommends procedures for investigating discrimination-related complaints and issues from all segments of the College.
- Assists in the development and implementation of professional development activities related to Affirmative Action and promoting multicultural understanding and inclusivity.
- Research ideas to diversify applicant pools.
- Review all College publications for language and pictures of historically underrepresented groups.
- In addition to an annual written report, make periodic updates and recommendations to the College Senate.

- Make decisions; determine policy; discuss contractual issues; investigate complaints

- Consider all employee and affinity groups with regard to inclusivity
- Seek to understand and recognize there are multiple perspectives to each issue
