Student Services
The Office of Student Services is your "one stop" on the Rome campus for a variety of services and functions. Among those services available are admissions, financial aid, change of major, services for students with disabilities, student activities, career services and general college information. Make Student Services your first stop for any questions you may have about MVCC's Rome campus.
Registration/Business Office
The Registration/Business Office offers a variety of business services to students and the college community. They are responsible for generating and collecting bills for tuition and fees for the entire student population after a student has scheduled his or her classes. Students may register for classes or check course availability, as well as add or drop a course. The office also handles third party sponsorships, such as VESID, employer, veteran benefits, scholarships and displays students processed state and federal financial aid awards on their billing statement.
The Business Office is responsible for collecting a Certificate of Residence from all students as is required by New York State Education Law. A Notary Public is provided free of charge for the convenience of our students. The office is responsible for processing tuition refund and financial aid refund checks and the payroll office is responsible for issuing pay checks to our Federal Work Study students.
MVCC has an automated payment plan to help you pay your college expenses, sponsored by the FACTS Management Company.
Library
The library offers a comprehensive collection to support the College's curricula. Holdings also include the popular "Best Sellers" and feature film collections. MVCC students, faculty, and staff may request materials outside the library's collection through a comprehensive interlibrary loan service. Online resources include catalogs and periodical indexes with full text articles.
Advisement
The Advisement Center is available to effectively communicate the curriculum, graduation requirements and college policies and procedures to students throughout the educational experience. Our Academic Advisors will encourage and support you as you gain the skills to develop clear and attainable educational plans. They will help you understand and utilize resources and services on campus, as well as monitor and document your progress toward meeting your goals.
