Campus Security Office
The Campus Security Office is a service-oriented agency which performs a variety of tasks for the benefit of individual citizens, organizations and institutional agencies that comprise the College community. Its primary purpose is to provide for life safety, property safety and the orderly environment needs of students, faculty, staff and visitors, who are a regular part of campus life.
They conduct foot and vehicular patrols of the Utica campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the Rome Campus Monday - Thursday from 5 -10 p.m.; and Friday 2 - 6 p.m. They work closely with the Utica and Rome Police Departments, County and State Police to enforce the laws of the State of New York on campus. This role includes the investigation of criminal incidents and accidents, traffic control and enforcement, and the emergency response to life-threatening incidents, building security and preventative patrol.
