MVCC to offer free environmental remediation training for low-income veterans

Mohawk Valley Community College, through a grant from the Dominion Foundation, is offering a free environmental remediation training for veterans with low-income status beginning Tuesday, April 4. These classes are designed to provide critical certifications and training to improve employability. Interested individuals must provide proof of veteran and low-income status.

Classes include:

  • Lead Worker (16 hours) – 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
    • Tuesday, April 4
    • Wednesday, April 5
  • HAZWOPER (40 hours) – 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
    • Thursday, April 6, through Wednesday, April 12
  • OSHA (10 hours) – 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
    • Friday, April 14
    • Monday, April 17

All classes will be held at 335 Catherine St., Utica, next door to the thINCubator, and all materials will be provided. If interested, please contact Terésa Fava-Schram, coordinator of Workforce Development at MVCC, at 315.792.5681 to request an application and reserve your spot in the class.
