MVCC offers Driving Safety Courses
Defensive Driving
The Point/Insurance Reduction Program, developed by the National Traffic Safety Institute (NTSI) and approved by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles, offers drivers a means to reduce up to four points from their driving record and receive a 10 percent insurance reduction. The program emphasizes safe and defensive driving techniques for drivers of all ages and skill levels, including those with a driver’s permit.
Bring your license or permit to class, and a lunch to Saturday classes. Students are required to be on time and stay until the completion of class. This course is offered in partnership with the Oneida County Traffic Safety Department. Registration for any class is $40.

Tuesday & Thursday, April 17 - 19, 6:00-9:00 pm Utica Campus
Saturday, May 19, 9:00 am-4:00 pm Rome Campus
Preregistration is required to attend these classes. Enrollment is limited and will be taken on a first come basis. For information or to register, call 792-5300 or visit www.mvcc.edu/cced. Office hours are 8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Friday. All MVCC non-credit instruction is completely self-supporting, including indirect costs, and requires no public funding.
