Head Coach: Kelly Entwistle
Coach Kelly Entwistle is Mohawk Valley Community College women’s volleyball new leadership, taking over the program in the Fall of 2012.
Entwistle returns to MVCC where she played two seasons for the Hawks in 2004-2006 while earning an Associate in Science in Physical Education. Entwistle went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport. She teaches elementary physical education in the Whitesboro School District and has coached junior varsity volleyball.
During her career as a player, Entwistle helped the Hawks win the Mountain Valley Conference title and the NJCAA Region III crown in 2004. She earned both All-Region and All-Conference honors as a sophomore while being selected for MVCC’s George L. Scala Memorial Award.
Assistant Coach: Missy Scranton
Coach Missy Scranton joins the women´s volleyball team as a first year assistant coach. A Whitesboro HS, MVCC and SUNY Oneonta graduate, she is looking forward to working with this year´s team. Missy was a scholar athlete that played 3 years of Varsity Volleyball on the High School Level. She continued on to play 2 years of volleyball at MVCC during the 2002-2004 seasons. As a freshman, she helped her team win the region which led them to the National Tournament held in Rochester, Minnesota. This was a great experience and accomplishment. Missy is currently employed at Oneida Herkimer Madison BOCES and resides in New York Mills.
