Head Coach: Steve Senior

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Steve Senior is a 1973 graduate of East Stroudsburg College where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Health and Physical Education. He then went on to get a Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. While at East Stroudsburg Coach Senior was a standout Wrestler for four years. He came to Mohawk Valley Community college in 1975 where he has been a Coach and Physical Education/Health instructor ever since. Coach Senior spent 20 years as the Head Men’s Wrestling coach before the program was eliminated in 1995. he has also been the Men’s Tennis Coach since 1975. He took over a fledgling MVCC Women’s Soccer program in 1996 and has turned them into a Regional power. The Women’s Soccer team has an overall record of 233-67-11 under Coach Senior which includes Region III Titles in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2012. MVCC won National Championships in 2003 and 2012. They finished as National Runners-Up in 2004 and finished 3rd in 2006 and 2009. Steve resides in Sauquoit, NY.

 

 

Assistant Coach: Jim Vitale

Jim Vitale is a Professor in the Center for Arts and Humanities at MVCC. Jim earned an AAS degree from MVCC in 1989. Jim went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree from University at Buffalo and his Master’s degree from Syracuse University.
Jim is a member of the Coliseum Soccer Club where he coaches and trains female athletes. The teams have enjoyed much success under Coach Vitale.
