MVCC Wins Finger Lakes Classic

The Mohawk Valley Community College defeated Roberts Wesleyan 2-0 to win the FLCC Classic this weekend in Canandaigua. 

The Hawks took a 1-0 lead into halftime on a goal by Armin Budnjo (Utica, NY/Proctor HS) and was assisted by keeper Matt Twitchel (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford HS).  MVCC put the game away with 8 minutes left on another goal by Budnjo. 

MVCC is now 2-0 on the season, and will begin Region III play next weekend as they face Jamestown CC on Saturday, and Alfred State on Sunday, both games being played at SUNY Delhi.
