MVCC Wins East-West Classic

The MVCC Mens soccer team won the East-West Classic with a 5-1 win over Alfred State. 

Mason Olmstead (Sauquoit, NY/ Sauquoit HS) opened the scoring midway through the first half, and the Hawks scored the next 4 goals before giving up their first goal of the season late in the second half.  Also scoring for the Hawks were Armin Budnjo (Utica, NY/Proctor HS), Armin Mekic (Utica, NY/Proctor HS), Abraham Morales, and Trevor Roorda (Herkimer, NY/Herkimer HS). 

Armin Budnjo, Mason Olmstead, and Blair Bellamy (West Winfield, NY/Mount Markham HS) were all named to the All-Tournament Team.  The Hawks home opener is this Wednesday at 4:00 vs. #10 nationally ranked TC3.
