MVCC wins 5th straight game

The Hawks got on the board 17 minutes into the game on a goal by Nate Pacheco (Oswego, NY/Oswego HS).  Pacheco buried a shot after the ball was deflected directly to him off a corner kick by David Gould (Frankfort, NY/Frankfort-Schuyler HS).  Ten minutes later Gould doubled the Hawks lead with a brilliantly taken direct kick from 25 yards out.  The score remained 2-0 at half.  Action was end to end in the second half, with both teams having opportunities to score.  MVCC ended the scoring on the day just as the final whistle was sounded.  Armin Budnjo (Utica, NY/Proctor HS) put a shot in the lower right corner just as time expired, assisted by Gregorson Nelson, giving the Hawks a well-deserved 3-0 victory.  With the loss, Onondaga CC dropped to 11-4-1 on the season.  MVCC will finish regular season play this coming Wednesday as they take on Fulton-Montgomery CC at 4:00 at home.
