Former MVCC Standout Dan Maycock has taken over the reigns as Head Coach of the Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks Ice Hockey Program. A Utica native, Dan was a standout two-sport athlete for MVCC in 2004-2005. Maycock starred for the Hawks baseball team that twice appeared in the Regional playoffs and between the pipes for the Hawks Hockey squad. Maycock was one of the most imposing and gifted athletes that has ever worn the green and white. Dan went on to SUNY Cortland after his time at MVCC where he committed to playing baseball year round in the Red Dragons program. During Dan's senior season at Cortland he was named to the NCAA Division III All-American Team. He went on to play baseball professionally in several independent leagues before returning to his hometown. Coach Maycock will look to guide the Hawks Hockey program to a winning tradition of excellence on and off the ice.
