Entwistle named Hawks’ new volleyball coach

The Mohawk Valley Community College women’s volleyball program has new leadership with the hiring of Kelly Entwistle as the new head coach.

Entwistle returns to MVCC where she played two seasons for the Hawks in 2004-2006 while earning an Associate in Science in Physical Education. Entwistle went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from SUNY Brockport. She teaches elementary physical education in the Whitesboro School District and has coached junior varsity volleyball.

During her career as a player, Entwistle helped the Hawks win the Mountain Valley Conference title and the NJCAA Region III crown in 2004. She earned both All-Region and All-Conference honors as a sophomore while being selected for MVCC’s George L. Scala Memorial Award.

Entwistle’s responsibilities will include recruiting for the 2012 Fall season.
