MVCC Coaching Staff
Head Coach Dave Warren

Coach Warren took over in 2001 as the skipper of the MVCC Baseball program. Mr. Warren has been a full time employee of MVCC since December of 1997 as the Assistant to the Director of Athletics. A native of Mohawk N.Y. Dave was a three sport athlete at Gregory B. Jarvis High School excelling in football and baseball, earning All-League honors in both sports. Coach Warren is one of only a select few athletes from the school to ever be named as a baseball All-Star for three consecutive years. Coach Warren moved on to Herkimer CCC to play for former MVCC Coach Joe Milazzo. While with the Generals Coach Warren ammassed a two-year batting average of .357 as a leadoff hitter and centerfielder to go along with All-Region and All New York State JUCO honors. He was also nominated as an Academic All-American while being named as HCCC's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year with a 3.81 grade point average. Dave finished his career at SUNY Cortland where he earned a degree in Physical Education to go along with a Management minor and a Coaching concentration. Coach Warren was named as the Region III and Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2004. He ended the 2013 season with 222 career wins as the MVCC Baseball Coach which ranks him first in MVCC Baseball History.
Pitching Coach/Assistant Coach: Craig Farley
Coach Farley began his collegiate career right at Mohawk Valley Community College as a pitcher under head coach Dave Warren. While at MVCC (2005-06) the lefty went on to break the career record for appearances in a season as well as in a career. He then transferred to Greensboro College (North Carolina) and led his team and the USA South conference with a 0.93 ERA. Craig also serves as the pitching coach for the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs in the Perfect Game League. The former Notre Dame Juggler currently works in the Utica City School district.
Assistant Coach: Dan Maycock
Former MVCC Standout Dan Maycock will join the MVCC Baseball Coaching staff in 2013-14. A Utica native, Dan was a standout two-sport athlete for MVCC in 2004-2005. Maycock starred for the Hawks baseball team that twice appeared in the Regional playoffs and between the pipes for the Hawks Hockey squad. Maycock was one of the most imposing and gifted athletes that has ever worn the green and white. Dan went on to SUNY Cortland after his time at MVCC where he committed to playing baseball year round in the Red Dragons program. During Dan's senior season at Cortland he was named to the NCAA Division III All-American Team. He went on to play baseball professionally in several independent leagues before returning to his hometown. In addition to his duties as Assistant Baseball Coach, Dan is also the current Head Coach of the MVCC Hockey Team.
