2013 Season

The MVCC Baseball Team finished the 2013 campaign with a final overall record of 24-16. Despite a rash of injuries the Hawks qualified for the NJCAA Region III Tournament for the 35th time since 1961. MVCC squared off against defending Region III Champion Niagara CC in a best two out of three series. The Hawks battled to the end losing two heart breakers in extra innings by scores of 4-3, and 3-2.

MVCC was led by freshman Bryan McGuire who was selected to the All-Conference and All-Region Teams. First Baseman and #4 hitter Zephan Kash was named as the Team's MVP and Brian Imfeld set the single season school record for saves with 5. Matt Engler was a perfect 5-0 for the Hawks on the mound, he did not surrender an earned run in the Regional playoff loss at Niagara CC. At the annual Hawk Athletic Banquet  Tyler Radcliff won the prestigious Robert Jorgensen Award and Chas Parsons won the Kiwanis Award.
