Victoria Thomas

The women’s basketball team heads into the Region III tournament after scoring back-to-back victories over Schenectady Community College and Fulton-Montgomery Community College this past week.

Leading the charge for the Hawks in these two games was Victoria Thomas, earning her the honor of MVCC Athlete of the Week.

Thomas’ performance enabled the Hawks to clinch the Mountain Valley Conference Championship with a 75-52 final over Schenectady CC and a 74-64 victory against Fulton-Montgomery CC. The Hawks are now 21-7 on the season.

Thomas, who is a General Studies major in her freshman year, is averaging 15 points and nine rebounds per game. She also has a three-assist average while nailing 36 baskets from three-point range. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Collegiate High School.
