Stevie Ray

One of the strengths of the women’s basketball team this season is the depth of the players chart. When the opposition focuses to shut down on player, another has stepped up to carry the Hawks to victory.
That was the case this past week when Stevie Ray in triple victories. Ray, a freshman Liberal Arts major, averaged 13 points, five assists and five steals in the three games. This performance helped the Hawks maintain their No. 3 ranking in the NJCAA National Poll.
For this performance, Ray was selected as MVCC’s Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 10. This freshman guard graduated from Fabius-Pompey High School.
