Samantha Getman
The women’s soccer team is returning to the NJCAA national tournament due in part to the performance of Samantha Getman. She played a vital role in the Hawks winning the Region III-B championship crown last week and has been selected as MVCC’s Athlete of the Week of the weekend ending October 28.
Getman scored two goals in the Hawks’ victory over Erie Community College in the semi-final game and then went on to scored twice along with an assist on another goal to carry MVCC past Finger Lakes Community College in the championship game.
Getman, who is a sophomore midfielder, was named the Region III Tournament MVP. She has 25 goals and 11 assists on the season.
She is pursuing an Associate degree in General Studies and is a graduate of Whitesboro High School.
