Restricted Areas
Fire Zones and Fire Lanes
Fire zone and fire lanes are those areas that permit fire fighting equipment to come as close as possible to a building. The areas around a fire hydrant or a standpipe connection, loading zone, walkway or loading area leading to a building is by definition a fire zone. No parking is allowed in a fire zone at any time.
Restricted Walkways
All inner campus walkways leading to and from parking areas and buildings are for the use of Emergency, Maintenance and other authorized vehicles only.
Grassed Areas
Parking in or on the grassed areas is strictly prohibited, no exceptions. Anyone driving on the grass or otherwise damaging same will be liable for damage and subject to appropriate disciplinary action.
Handicapped Parking
These spaces are designated by signs and wheelchair symbols painted on the pavement. There ae also wheelchair only spaces. Only those restricted to a wheelchair are authorized to park in these spots. The Chief of Security with concurrence from the Health Center grant special permission fro medical parking in other areas.
