Library Instruction
The Mohawk Valley Community College Libraries offer a comprehensive library instruction program. Classroom faculty may request a general introduction to library resources and search methods or a session tailored to their specific instructional needs. Library faculty will gladly work with instructors to develop a library project or assignment for a particular class or subject. Faculty are required to accompany their class to each library instruction session or make arrangements for substitute coverage so that faculty are available to offer valuable input during the session. The Faculty's presence during the session will also emphasize the necessity and value of mastering basic research skills.
While all full-time library faculty participate in the library instruction program, library instruction classes should be scheduled with Colleen Kehoe-Robinson (731-5737) for Utica Campus classes and Barbara Evans (334-7714) for Rome Campus classes. Library classes need to be booked at least one week in advance and NO LATER than noon the Wednesday of the week before the session is to be held.
